OD4 Open Width Take-up Device for Single Knit Machines The OD4 take-up device is a down-sized version of our compact type OD2 take-up device. The smaller take-up frame allows the operator to easily access to the knitting head and work more efficiently. This take-up device can be used for our various single knit machines such as raceway machines and striper machines. < Main functions and features > 1. Minimized frame size While keeping the roll width of the standard OD2 type take-up device, the frame size is minimized to the limit for better accessibility to the knitting head. The bed height lower than that of OD2 enables the operator to work more efficiently in a comfortable body position. 2. Movable cutter unit The movable cutter unit can be set to the best cutting position in accordance with the width of the size ring (Cadratex). 3. Prevention of fabric edge curling A spiral roll is used for preventing fabric edges from curling when wound on the reel roll. It stretches creases and corrects possible fabric distortion. 4. Tubular fabric roll-up Tubular fabrics can also be rolled up by moving the take-up position and replacing some parts of the regular OD4. 5. Roll carrying-out tray A fabric tray fitted with caster wheels for taking out a fabric roll from the machine is supplied as standard. 6. Steel machine guards Safe and solid steel machine guards are used. The highly visible windows allow the operator to easily check for faults on the fabric being knitted. An optional work-step can be fitted to the machine guards. 7. Compatibility with striper machines Our OD take-up units are compatible with striper machines. It is possible to cut out the selvage portion using two cutter units before rolling up the fabric. The cut selvage is taken out from the machine by suction and put into a waste bin. This serves to make the fabric roll diameter uniform. It is also possible to include the selvage portion into the fabric roll using only one cutter unit.

OD5 Take-up (Open width take-up unit for single knit machine) The totally newly designed OD5 take-up device has achieved signifcant weight reduction compared with our conventional take-up system.  By using the latest servomotor control system, it has been made possible to easily change the take-up amount by simply entering the desired figure into the operation panel, resulting in a great improvement in user-friendliness.  < Main functions and features > 1. Servomotor driving system Unit now gears changes and QAP adjustments were necessary on open-width take-ups whenever the take-up amount was change. With the OD5 frame, these adjustments can now be mode simply by entering the desired take-up production values into the operation panel thanks to the latest control technology utilized by the new servomotor driving system. The take-up amount value can be inputted in increments of 0.1 mm, enabling the user to make adjustments freely and easily. 2. Weight reduction The whole OD5 take-up unit was designed, resulting in a major weight reduction compared to current take-up devices. The weight reduction decreases the amount of stress exerted on the machine, thereby making faster speeds a reality. 3. New take-up roller system On current take-up devices, gear changes are necessary to change the revolving direction of the rollers when making the conversion from open to tubular rolling. On the OD5 take-up, the take-up roller system was modified from a 3-roll to a 2-roll system, eliminating the need to change gears when converting from open to tubular rolling. This new system greatly improves work efficiency. 4. Swing type latch unit The opening and closing of the latch unit when removing fabric rolls has been mode easier due to the adoption of a swing type latch unit. 5. Newly developed "M" frame OD5 width take-up is fitted standard to the newly developed "M" frame. In addition to improved strength and precision, the legs were made more compact and the overall usability has been improved compared to previous frames. Also, most of the popular aspect of the normal "V" frame (easy access to the knitting area, sliding parts, and conversion related parts) will remain in place on the OD5 frame.
